On March 20, 2010, the Junior League of Fresno will hold its annual Kids in the Kitchen event at the West Fresno Boys & Girls Club. More than 100 kids and their parents are expected to attend and enjoy the various food stations and exercise activities planned from 2-4pm.


The Kids in the Kitchen initiative, which is supported by The Association of Junior Leagues International Inc. and its member leagues, is intended to empower youth to make healthy lifestyle choices and to help reverse the growth of childhood obesity and its associated health issues.


This year we are proud to work with Fresno’s finest K-9 officers, as well as the Banana Man (courtesy of Jamba Juice), to help promote the important message of good nutrition and an active lifestyle. In addition to these volunteers’ time, Junior League has coordinated with local businesses in an effort to procure donations in the form of gift bags for the youth, food supplies, and money to help cover miscellaneous items needed.
