Eligibility and Admission for Membership

The Junior League of Fresno reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in voluntarism, commitment to community service, and developing their potential through effective action and leadership.  Membership is available to women who are at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

What are the Requirements?

New members joining the Junior League of Fresno will enter as a provisional member and must complete the Provisional course.  The Provisional course is a required period of orientation that begins in August and concludes in June.  The Provisional course provides education and training about the structure of the Junior League of Fresno, along with its history and role in the community.  Provisional members have the opportunity to participate in volunteer activities, fund-raising events, and social activities throughout the year.  Successful completion of the Provisional course prepares new members for active membership in one of the many Junior League committees.  Mentoring is an important aspect of the provisional year and all provisionals are assigned a mentor to guide them through the learning process.  It takes commitment to meet the obligations, but the rewards include giving back to the Fresno community through various projects and fundraisers, training and education opportunities, and making lifelong friendships with other League members.
