2011 Award

The Junior League of Fresno is pleased to announce we have awarded Community Service Funds in the amount of $2,500 to Community Regional Medical Foundation for Terry’s House.

The League award funds are reserved for gifting to those who have applied via application using our website. The Junior League seeks to support projects and organizations that fit within the scope of our Focus Area which is, “Women and Children in Need with an Emphasis on Health and Education.”

Terry’s House is located directly across the street from the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno and is a place where families can stay when a loved one is hospitalized. Many are parents of children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) which allows them to be nearly on site at a very critical time in their children’s lives.

The monies awarded will help sponsor families that may not be able to afford the cost associated with staying at the house. It may also be used for various basic needs such as food and utilities costs.

We are happy to be able to support our community in this way. If you are interested in applying for funds or have a project in mind that would benefit our community, please visit our website at www.jlfresno.org . There you may get more information and fill out an online application.
