Find out in Independent City!
Working with community partners, the Junior League of Fresno is inviting local foster youth ages 13 – 17 to experience an interactive simulation of real independent adult life! Each participant gets to experience what life could be like if they choose to stay in the foster care system until 21 or age out at 18.
In the Independent City, foster youth will learn valuable life skills including banking, personal finance, grocery shopping, college programs, career readiness, and more!
JLF volunteers and community partners will be on hand to mentor “residents” as they make their way through the Independent City.
