Are you ready to leave
Find out in Independent City!
Working with community partners, the Junior League of Fresno is
inviting local foster youth ages 13-17 to experience an interactive
simulation of real life! Each participant gets to experience what life
will be like if they choose to stay in the foster care system or to age
out and leave the system at the age of 18.
In Independent City, foster youth will learn valuable life skills, Banking,
Budgeting, Grocery shopping, Applying for college, Applying for an
apartment, Preparing a resume, and more.
Junior League of Fresno volunteers and community partners will be on
hand to speak with these students as they make their way
through Independent City.
