Our 44th Senior Girl Athlete Awards Banquet was held at Pardini’s Banquet & Catering on Tuesday, April 7, 2025.

Our EMCEE for the evening was our very own member and KSEE24 news anchor, Emily Erwin!

Our Guest Speaker for the evening was Justine Stratton, a 2007 Senior Girl Athlete Recipient from Edison High School. She played Division I Softball at Providence College and received her Master’s in Sports Management from the University of Tennessee. She is a coach, mentor, and leader in Women’s Athletics and is the National Top-Performing Sales Leader in her company at ARAMARK. She is an All-BIG EAST Honoree and an inductee for Edison High School Softball Hall of Fame.

Our Invocation Speaker for the evening was Ron Herms, a community advocate, pastor, and speaker. He has 30+ years in leadership and higher education, was a former Dean at Fresno Pacific University. Currently is an interim lead pastor at Butler Church. He is passionate about faith, leadership, and community.

The Junior League of Fresno’s Senior Girl Athlete event will continue to honor female athletes from local high schools and recognize them for their outstanding contributions to athletics, academics, and the community. They will be awarded with a scholarship in the memory of our fellow Junior League Member and Senior Girl Athlete Program creator, Dorothy “Dottie” Rohlfing.

Each athlete is chosen by their high school Athletic Director, coaches, principal, teachers, etc. We have honored over 850 athletes and have been able to provide over $250,000 scholarships to amazing  young women that excel in athletic achievement, academic achievement, leadership and community involvement throughout the Central Valley.
